OOps - accidentally deleted a game

:( Sorry if this has already been posted, but is there any way of undeleting a saved game from the gameboy?

Playing pokemon Gold, it popped up the 'delete data?' question,and guess who hit the wrong option!!!

All help gratefully received, especially by all the pokemon I was looking after so well

I heard of a way to restore saved games using a gameshark, but I can't think of any other way. It was created to help people who lost thier savegame because they used defective codes.
